Gustav Dietrich August Johannes von Reininghaus / 25.5.1851 – 27.5.1883
He was born in Breslau as the first child of Johann Peter and Therese von Reininghaus In 1880, he married Maria Eisl and had two children with her, Emilie (*1881) and Gustav II (*1883), although he did not live to see the birth of his son. He had been trained with great care and extensive knowledge to become the future head of the company and was the spiritual heir to his parents’ life’s work. With his death, the main pillar supporting the bridge that was to lead into the future collapsed for both of them.
Gustav’s first-born child Emilie took up residence with Georg II. Anton Mautner von Markhof in 1900, a cousin of her father. Known as “Emy”, she managed the family estate in Gaaden and went down in Mautner history as one of the most respectable women.
